As Wolverhampton marks one year since the Covid-19 lockdown, police and health leaders are calling on residents to remain vigilant, both to avoid further heartache and to help the city safely back onto its feet.
Fly tippers who blight the environment and local area are the subject of an additional council campaign called Pesky Blighters. It will be launched in Spring and has been created to help catch those who dump rubbish illegally.
Over 500 drivers have received a one-off payment of £2,000 through The Additional Restriction Grant – Taxi and Private Hire Grant Scheme, created to support those whose business has been significantly impacted by the current lockdown.
