An exhibition setting out detailed information on development proposals for the Bilston Urban Village scheme will be on display at the town hall on Friday 21 March.
The exhibition is being hosted by Wolverhampton City Council and the Bilston Town Centre Traders' Forum.
It will include:
- all the drawings and documents submitted as part of the recent Planning Application for a programme of advanced works on the site including new roads, junctions, pedestrian and cycle routes, drainage, and major earthworks
- development proposals for the land adjacent to the Bert Williams Leisure Centre
- proposals for the creation of the High Street Link across Pinfold Street car park which will start on 7 April, 2014
- information on the release of the first phase of residential development off Dudley Street
- photographs of the recent works and activities in the woodland by Carder Crescent
- 2014 Bilston In Bloom Campaign
Traders and the public are invited to come along, have a look at the plans and take up the opportunity to talk through issues with representatives from the City Council and Town Centre Management.
Raj Randhawa of Bilston Motor Spares and Chair of the Bilston Traders Forum, said: "We wanted to use our first meeting of 2014 to look at the range of work planned for the area this year.
"As a group of business people we want to take advantage of the investment being made in the town and work together with a range of stakeholders to make sure we all benefit."
Councillor Peter Bilson, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Prosperity, said: "The proposals are taking shape and these will complement what has already happened in the area.
"I would urge everyone to attend this event and see the exciting plans for themselves and give their feedback."
