Carers can get first aid training thanks to sessions organised by the City of Wolverhampton Council's Carer Support Team in partnership with British Red Cross.

The 'Everyday First Aid' training sessions are open to anyone in Wolverhampton who lives and cares for someone with an illness or disability, and take place in Tettenhall Wood and Blakenhall next month.

Councillor Elias Mattu, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: "Everyday First Aid is a simplified and easy way to learn basic first aid which could prove invaluable.

"The British Red Cross believes everyone can learn a few simple skills that could help someone they care for during an emergency, and we are delighted to be able to deliver this training with them."

Two Everyday First Aid sessions will be held at Tettenhall Wood Institute, Wood Road, on Tuesday 17 November, 2015, from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm, with 2 more at the Bob Jones Community Hub - formerly Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre - on Bromley Street, Blakenhall, on Tuesday 24 November, 2015, again from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Places are limited and must be reserved in advance by calling 01902 553409.
