Bring out the bunting! Bantock House Museum will be stepping back in time when it throws a Vintage Garden Party next weekend.

Among the attractions will be more than 30 stalls selling vintage and handcrafted items including clothing, accessories, homewares and collectables, while Westacres Primary School's PTA will be hosting vintage fun and games like hook a duck and hoopla.

The Friends of Bantock House will be serving tea and biscuits in the morning and rustling up delicious strawberry teas in the afternoon, all served on pretty vintage china. Vintage cocktails will be served by Sugamuffins and a range of classic cars will be on display, including a Sunbeam built in Wolverhampton.

There will be live performances throughout the day from renowned local 1940s style singer Laura Bill and vocal trio Miss Fortunes as well as a drop in acoustic session with folk band Henbane.

The Vintage Garden Party takes place on Saturday 28 June, 2014, from 10am to 4pm and - like 2013's hugely popular event - has been organised by Bantock House Museum in partnership with Dawn Melis of My Vintage Events.

Dawn said: "We had such a wonderful day last year and the Vintage Garden Party is now one of the highlights of our vintage calendar. There is something for everyone and, set in such beautiful surroundings, it's one not to be missed."

Bantock House Museum Curator Helen Steatham added: "We'd like to invite everyone to come and join us for another bright and colourful Vintage Garden Party in the beautiful surroundings of Bantock House and Park. It promises to be another fun packed day with something for all the family."
