Festive fun and games are on offer at the Mayor of Wolverhampton's latest Charity Quiz, taking place next week.

The general knowledge quiz is returning by popular demand and will be taking place in the Mayoral Suite at the Civic Centre on Thursday 15 December, 2016.

Quizmaster Carl Husted will oversee proceedings, and money raised will go to Wolverhampton Mayor Councillor Barry Findlay's chosen charities, the MS Therapy Centre in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton Samaritans and Help For Heroes.

Mayor Councillor Findlay said: "Our charity quizzes are one of the highlights of the Mayoral year, with people putting their general knowledge to the test and helping to raise thousands of pounds for good causes at the same time.

"This pre Christmas special will be no exception, with some festive fun and games thrown in for good measure."

Prizes are on offer for the teams finishing first, second and third, with a booby prize for the team with the least points. A host of fantastic goodies will also be available in charity raffles, along with games of barmy bingo.

Places are now available for teams of up to 4 people, priced £20 per team. The fun gets underway at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Snacks and tea and coffee will be available and competitors are invited to bring their own alcoholic drinks.

Places must be reserved in advance - please contact the Mayor's Parlour on 01902 554090 or email themayor@wolverhampton.gov.uk for more details.

Further quiz nights will be held on Thursdays 9 February and 4 May, and places can be reserved now.
