The "Local Offer" brings together in one place a wealth of information about education, health and social care provision for the thousands of children and young people aged 0 to 25 in Wolverhampton who have special educational needs or a disability.
The website has sections devoted to advice and support relating to SEND; education; care; childcare; Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs); health; leisure services; travel; and moving into adult life.
Emma Bennett, Director of Children’s Services, said: “The Local Offer website is a one stop shop, bringing together a wide range of information about the support available in Wolverhampton and the surrounding area for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.
“It includes details of services and support provided by not only the council and health providers, but also by voluntary and community groups and private sector organisations, and will help people make informed choices about their education, health, care and transition to adulthood.
"I would encourage parents, carers and professionals to visit the Local Offer website to find out about the help and support which is available to them, and also encourage them to share feedback with us about the website so that we can ensure that it is as helpful and easy to use as possible."
