Fostering families and children from Wolverhampton came together for an Easter Egg-stravaganza this week.

The annual event, organised by the Fostering for Wolverhampton team, took place at WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams.

Activities included an Easter egg hunt, an appearance by the Easter Bunny, Wolves play café, face painters, glitter tattoo artists, a disco, bonnet making, and a variety of sports and art activities.

More than 100 people attended the event, which is just one of the several social activities organised throughout the year for foster families who are part of Fostering for Wolverhampton, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s fostering service.

The council’s Executive Director of Families Emma Bennett said: "We were pleased to see so many foster families coming together and enjoying the Easter Egg-stravaganza at WV Active this week.

“It's just one of the many events we hold for our fostering community throughout the year. It’s an opportunity to bring everyone together – foster parents, children, young people and staff – and have a fun afternoon.

"It’s also a chance for us to give something back to our many foster parents, who do such an excellent job of looking after children in care, and I'd encourage anyone who is interested in becoming a foster parent to visit Fostering for Wolverhampton, follow us on Facebook @fosteringforwolves or call us on 01902 551133.”
