The fun begins on Tuesday 24 October with a story and craft session based on Beauty and the Beast for children aged 5 and over. It takes place at Central Children's Library from 2pm to 3.30pm and free places should be booked in advance by calling 01902 552023. The same day, there will be a storytime session at Warstones Library from 2.30pm to 3pm - no booking is necessary.
A special storytime is being held at Finchfield Library on Wednesday 25 October from 10.30am to 11am - again, no booking is necessary - while Anansi Tales features stories, craft and songs at Wednesfield Library the same day from 2pm to 3pm. Free places for this must be reserved by calling 01902 556278.
The libraries then get into the Halloween spirit with Spooktacular Surprises at Central Children's Library on Thursday 26 October from 2pm to 3.30pm - places are free but must be booked in advance by calling 01902 552023.
The fun continues on Saturday 28 October with a Halloween Havoc storytime and crafts at Central Children's Library from 12.15pm to 1.15pm and at Penn Library from 2.30pm to 3.30pm - booking is not necessary for either of these events.
Visitors can also be in with a chance of winning four tickets to see David Walliams' Awful Auntie at the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham. Entry forms will be available at all libraries during half term.
Councillor John Reynolds, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "We are delighted to be offering a wide range of activities for younger visitors to our libraries during the half-term holidays, from arts and crafts activities to spooky storytimes - and they could even win tickets to see the fantastic Awful Auntie at the New Alexandra Theatre."
