Firework fans in Wolverhampton can celebrate Bonfire Night twice, with spectacular displays at both West Park and Hickman Park.

Wolverhampton City Council's Outdoor Events team is organising a bonfire and firework display at Hickman Park on Friday 31 October, 2014, with the action moving to West Park on Saturday 1 November, 2014.

Gates for both shows open at 6pm with a fireworks display for especially for children beginning at 7pm. The bonfires will be lit at 7.30pm by the Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Mike Heap and the main displays to music begin at 8.30pm. There will also be fun fairs, bouncy castles and trade and refreshment stalls at both venues. Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "Wolverhampton's bonfire and fireworks displays are hugely popular and great fun for all the family, with fabulous music and fantastic fairground attractions.

"We are expecting big crowds at both Hickman Park and West Park so we'd advise people to get there early to claim their spot."

Tickets for each event are £4.50 for adults and £3 for children, with under 2s going free, and are available on the gate.
