Lionel Spittle swam 65 lengths at WV Active Central, cycled 65 miles through Staffordshire and ran 65 laps of WV Active Aldersley's athletics track - the equivalent of just over 16 miles - to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of his wife Linda who sadly passed away 5 years ago from a brain tumour.
The decision to take on the '65 Challenge' was made as Lionel will be celebrating his 65th birthday this year. He said: "I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the day despite my challenge being made much more difficult by the extremely hot weather.
"I had tremendous support from friends and family, including my 2 nephews who completed the whole challenge with me. I was determined to complete the challenge and raise as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity."
He was joined in the challenge by his nephews Callum and Sean Miller.
