Learning for Success is taking place at Molineux Stadium from today (Tuesday 15 October, 2013) to Thursday 17 October, 2013, and will see more than 400 people from schools across the city attending.

And they will be joined by stars Phil Vickery, Stefan Gates and kids TV favourite Mr Bloom during the course of the event.

The focus of Learning for Success is to look at how learning about leading healthier lives can be incorporated into the school curriculum and encouraging healthy eating behaviour amongst children and their families.

Pupils and staff are taking part in a series of workshops provided by Focus on Food, Food for Life Partnership, The Food Education Company, Phunky Foods, Quorn and The Vegan Society.

This is the fourth in a series of biennial events held by Wolverhampton City Council and follows Kids' Kitchen Network in 2007, Recipe for Success in 2009 and Seeds of Success in 2011.

Councillor Phil Page, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Schools, Skills and learning, said: "Learning for Success is an important event that will be educational and fun for all involved.

"The 3 previous events have captured the imagination of everyone who takes part and this year is set to be no different.

"As always, it is great to have the support of such well known TV personalities who always prove to be a hit with the children and bring a highly entertaining element to proceedings.

"These events have brought together a host of people who can really make a difference to our children's health and wellbeing and we are starting to see really positive results in our city."
