Landlords in Wolverhampton are being urged to attend a special conference to get the latest information on private housing from representatives of 2 Government departments.

Representatives from The Communities and Local Government Department and the Home Office will address the West Midlands Landlords Conference at Bescot Stadium, Walsall, on Thursday 13 November, 2014.

About 350 landlords are expected to attend to discuss the future of the private rented sector and the implications of the Immigration Act.

Landlords attending the free, full day conference will also be able hear from David Cox, managing director of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), and attend a series of topical and business relevant workshops, to help grow and operate their rental businesses.

Councillor Peter Bilson, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Prosperity, said: "This event is a must-attend conference for landlords operating across Wolverhampton, the Black Country and further afield and is a great example of how local councils are working together to deliver cost efficient support and service for customers.

"The programme has been developed to ensure the very latest information is being provided to landlords from the very best sources and we hope that landlords will value the event."

Places are limited so landlords wishing to attend should book as soon as possible by emailing Androulla Moore via mooreandroulla@walsall.gov.uk.
