Following the success of previous activity courses in other parts of the city, the charity will be launching session at WV Active Bilston–Bert Williams for 10 weeks, starting later this month.
The classes are suitable for those who are over 18 years old and are living with type 2 diabetes. Participants must be able to take part in gentle physical activity and must be committed to attending the sessions.
For non-English speakers who speak Punjabi and Urdu, translation will be available during every session.
The sessions begin on Tuesday 21 September with classes from 11.30am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 2pm. To find out more information or to register your interest in attending, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0345 123 2399.
Councillor Steve Evans, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Environment and Climate Change, said: "Being physically active is good for diabetes and it doesn’t matter if you try something new or just do that little bit more of something you already do.
"These new sessions which we are hosting in partnership with Diabetes UK are a great way to take your next – or your first – step in helping to manage your condition."
