The Mayor of Wolverhampton will be hosting a vintage tea party - and is urging people to raise a cuppa in aid of local charities.

Councillor Mike Heap is holding the party in the Mayoral Suite at the Civic Centre on Thursday 12 February, 2015, from 2pm, and is promising afternoon tea and entertainment from local vintage act String of Pearls.

Tickets are available now priced £7.50, including refreshments, and all proceeds will go to his chosen charities, Breast Care Nurses Trust Fund, Wolverhampton Interfaith and Regeneration Network and Mencap's Wolverhampton Branch.

Councillor Heap said: "This promises to be a great event and I'm hoping the people of Wolverhampton will get in the party spirit and help us raise hundreds of pounds for 3 very good causes."

Tickets are available from the Mayor's Office by calling 01902 554090 or e-mailing mayoral@wolverhampton.gov.uk. Please note that places must be reserved in advance.
