Would-be traders are being offered the chance to become market traders for a day - for free - as part of the national Love Your Local Market campaign this month.

The campaign is led by the National Association of British Market Authorities with backing from Wolverhampton City Council.

People with new tradelines who have never traded at the markets are being offered the chance to sell their wares at Wolverhampton Market on Tuesday 21 May, at Bilston Market on Thursday 23 May and at Friday Wednesfield Market on 24 May, 2013.

Cabinet member for City Services Councillor John Reynolds said: "At a time when we're all looking to save money, our local markets offer bargains galore and great value for money.

"We're backing Love your Local Market campaign in May with an opportunity for people offering new trade lines to try out a market stall for free. We hope this promotion will inspire up and coming traders."
