City of Wolverhampton is geared up for its biggest annual spotlight to support business growth.

The city’s annual Business Programme runs from Wednesday 18 September  until Wednesday 2 October. 

Sponsored and supported by local businesses and partners, it offers events, workshops and training to help businesses to start, grow and succeed.

There is something of interest for all businesses whatever their type and size, from supply chain opportunities, international trading support and start-up help. Details are available at INVEST

John Wood DL, Director of Liberty Industries Group Ltd and Chair of the city’s Economic Growth Board, said: “As a business leader in the city I am pleased to play my part in shaping this annual programme of support, to help ensure businesses are geared up for continued success.”

Businesses are urged to register to take advantage of these free events as places are in high demand.

Book a seat at the Business Breakfast – the most important business conference of the year on Thursday 26 September, or find out how digitalisation can innovate business over dinner on Tuesday 1 October. 

Anyone thinking of setting up a business can hear from expert guest speakers at the business health, wealth and trading on eBay event on Tuesday 24 September. There is an opportunity for businesses to talk directly to top companies about forthcoming tender and contract opportunities at the Meet the Buyer event on Monday 30 September. 

Businesses can update and enhance their exporting skills at an international trade event on Tuesday 1 October, and for those who are responsible for fire safety in the business, a fire safety workshop is taking place on Wednesday 25 September.
