A host of free activities for all ages and interests will be on offer at an open day at Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre shortly.

They include NHS health checks, therapy massages, Tai Chi, dance mat sessions and Dhol drum demonstrations, as well as free inductions to the centre's gym, which normally cost £5.85.

Other attractions include special events for younger visitors, while representatives from bicycle training and maintenance organisation Bike Right and health and well being group Health Exchange will be present. Visitors will also have the chance to find out about some of the activities on offer at the popular facility.

The open day runs from 11am to 4pm on Friday 20 June, 2014, and Councillor Elias Mattu, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Communities, said: "This is a great opportunity for people to see what's on offer at Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre, and also pick up some top tips about how they can live a healthy lifestyle."

The centre, on Bromley Street, Blakenhall, offers a number of different services under one roof, including fitness and toning suites, a sports hall, library, community rooms, cafe and a crèche.
