The Lichfield Street gallery has invited the students from the Wednesfield based school to select their best pieces for show in the latest of a series of schools exhibitions.

Dedicated space in the sculpture gallery and popular café has been made available for the Young Artists Series, which has already showcased work from students at St Matthias and City of Wolverhampton College.

Photography, graphics and paintings are in the current exhibition from Heath Park students, aged 9 to 13.

Amber Banks, Heath Park School A-Level photography teacher, said: "We have some extremely gifted photographers on our course and we are thrilled that for the first time their work is going on show at Wolverhampton Art Gallery."

City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, Councillor John Reynolds, added: "This has been a great series of exhibitions giving young artists and photographers from our city the opportunity to showcase their work at the gallery alongside some of the masterpieces we exhibit."

An open evening to celebrate the exhibition is also being held at the gallery on Tuesday 13 December.
