A special charity event will test the bravery of its participants in Wolverhampton next month.

The Fire Walk will give people the unique opportunity to walk on hot coals in aid of Guide Dogs, one of the Mayor of Wolverhampton's chosen charities.

The charity challenge will take place on the Piazza outside the Civic Centre on Wednesday 9 October, 2013, starting at 5pm, and has been organised by fire walking experts Blaze.

All participants are required to complete 2 hours of training immediately before taking part in the walk.

Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Milkinder Jaspal said: "This event is a great opportunity for daredevils to put their best foot forward in aid of charity - and show us what they are made of.

"Guide Dogs is a fantastic organisation and I'm very pleased that we are able to host this event and help raise some much needed funds."

Anyone who wants to take part will be required to pay a £15 registration fee and raise at least £75 in sponsorship. To find out more, and to reserve places, please call Guide Dogs on 01189 838756 or email sarah.knox@guidedogs.org.uk.
