Walkabout, on Queen Street, will be holding regular DJ party nights on the last Thursday of the month - with all proceeds going to the Mayor of Wolverhampton's chosen charities.

Vince Brown from Walkabout said: "We're really excited to launch this fantastic new monthly event which we hope will raise thousands of pounds for good causes every year.

"We've set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £1,000 a night which will be a fantastic boost for local charities, so we're hoping the new night will really take off."

The launch event takes place from 8pm on Thursday (27 March, 2014) with entry £3 on the door. It will feature a party night presented by Mousy Brown Entertainment.

Wolverhampton Mayor Councillor Milkinder Jaspal, whose chosen charities for his year in office are Guide Dogs, St Peter's Collegiate Church and the Black Country branch of the MS Society, said: "I'd like to say a massive thank you to Walkabout for launching this new night.

"We're really hopeful that the people of Wolverhampton will give it their full support so that becomes a permanent fixture on the Mayoral fundraising calendar - and can benefit local charities for many years to come."
