The curtain is set to rise on the tales of a Black Country tat man thanks to a Wednesfield Community Group.

The Life and Times of the Tat Man is being performed at Northycote Farm's school room on Saturday 22 October.

The play, written by David Calcutt, is set in a scrapyard where the tat man weaves his tales collected as his drives his horse and carts down Black Country streets.

Councillor John Reynolds, cabinet member for City Economy, said; "One person's tat is another's treasure and in this play the gems are all the tales collected by a tat man as he journeys through life."

Regional Voice Theatre is putting on the production together with Wednesfield community group Hands On. Doors open at 7pm and the show is from 7.30 to 9pm. Tickets are £5. For more information and tickets go to Type=links;Linkid=7675;Title=Regional Voice Theatre;Target=_blank;.
