The annual event, on Thursday 5 November, will for the first time ever be hosted by Wolverhampton Racecourse.

Advance ticket prices are cheaper than last year's prices for the event at West Park, with free car parking on offer to visitors at the racecourse.

Tickets can be purchased through the Civic Hall box office (0870 320 7000) or at the racecourse reception, priced £4 per adult and £2 per child.

Prices at the gate on the evening are £5 per adult and £3 per child.

The evening entails all the attractions that have been enjoyed at West Park in previous years.

The night will begin with the children's display at 7pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire and finally the full fireworks display from 8.30pm. Gates open at the racecourse at 5pm.

Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "We are pleased to be able to continue Wolverhampton's biggest and best fireworks display at this new venue.

"We know parking was often difficult around West Park and it could be wet and muddy once in the park. The Racecourse addresses those issues and we look forward to seeing lots of people there, young and old alike."

Wolverhampton Racecourse Managing Director, David Roberts, added: "We are thrilled to be hosting the Wolverhampton Bonfire and Fireworks Night at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

"It is a fantastic attraction that we hope will bring many people of Wolverhampton to the racecourse on Thursday 5 November."

Wolverhampton radio station Signal 107 will be the Official Media Partner for the event, and the evening will be compèred by beloved breakfast show host Dicky Dodd. Following the acquisition of the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC radio match coverage, Signal 107 are delighted to be involved with yet another popular local attraction.

There will be numerous food outlets, bars and trade stalls around the site, with the popular fairground attractions within the Centre Course too.
