Wolverhampton's libraries, Community Support Service and Carer Support Team are teaming up to offer advice and guidance during this year's Residents Programme.

The Community Support Service, which provides help and support to people to remain independent and improve their wellbeing, will be on hand to meet residents at Talking Point sessions at Lea Road Medical Practice on Wednesday 6 March from 9.30am-noon, Penn Library on Thursday 7 March from 10am-noon, Central Library on Tuesday 19 March from 10am-noon and Thursday 21 March from 4pm to 6pm, and Tettenhall Library on Monday 25 March from 2pm-3.30pm.

Meanwhile, the Carer Support Team, which offers a range of services for people who care for a friend, relative or neighbour, will be holding its monthly Carers Café at Light House Media Centre on Monday 11 March from 10am-11.30am, open to carers and the people they care for. Members of the Carer Support Team will also be on hand at the Talking Point sessions at Penn Library and Tettenhall Library, and at the Central Library session on 19 March.

Finally, the library service will be holding surgeries to help people complete their Blue Badge applications at Wednesfield Library on Wednesday 6 March from 10am to 4pm and Wednesday 27 March from 10am-4pm, East Park Library on Tuesday 12 March from 9am-noon, Warstones Library on Wednesday 13 March from 10am-4pm and Bilston Library on Wednesday 20 March from 10am-4pm. These sessions are available by appointment only – please contact the library to book a slot.

These events are part of the fourth City of Wolverhampton Residents Programme, which features a wide range of activities designed to support residents into work, with their everyday living and being healthy, including plenty of information and free advice on a range of other issues.
