The 3 and a half mile walk, from the Mount Tavern on Penn Road to the Holly Bush Inn and back, is being organised by Penn councillors Celia Hibbert and Martin Waite, Sara Foster from the Mercure Hotel on Penn Road and Gurbax Kaur from Positive Participation.
It takes place on Monday and is open to all - to get involved, please meet at the Mount Tavern car park at 2.30pm. Refreshments will be served after the walk, which is expected to take about an hour.
Councillor Hibbert said: "The Orange Wolverhampton campaign is crucial because women and girls are still subject to unspeakable level of violence here in UK, and even more so in developing countries.
"As a female born and raised in Africa, I've seen first hand the brutal consequences of violence against females.
"We in the Penn community will be undertaking a walk to help raise this awareness and we urge everyone who can to join us on Monday as we say 'No' to violence against women and girls."
The walk is one of a wide range of social events and activities being held around the city this year in support of this year's Orange Wolverhampton campaign, which continues until 10 December and is championed and run by Wolverhampton Safeguarding Boards, the Safer Wolverhampton Partnership and Wolverhampton Domestic Violence Forum.
By helping Orange Wolverhampton, people will not only raise awareness of gender based violence - violence primarily committed against women and girls, including domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, so called 'honour based' violence and sexual violence - but also the help and support that is available to victims.
