Adult Education Wolverhampton is running a series of short courses to give people the maths knowledge, skills and confidence they need to help improve their financial wellbeing.

The Multiply courses are designed to help residents through the cost of living crisis by being able to better manage their finances.

Multiply courses will help people consider how to shop smarter, get value for money and learn how to eat healthier, think about alternative ways to prepare, store and enjoy food, be more aware of energy efficiency and fuel poverty, manage debt and household bills, and how to consider the best deals and understand price increases.

The latest course, Debt & Health – Protect Yourself, shares tips and tricks that will help people see the links between good financial management and good health and wellbeing. Participants will be given advice about the benefits of daily routines, how to manage daily stress and reduce anxiety around their finances, and where to get support if they need it.

Councillor Chris Burden, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Work, said: "High inflation and the cost of living crisis is making life hard for everyone, but if you have poor maths skills, it can be harder still because you may find it more difficult to manage your finances.

"Adult Education Wolverhampton's Multiply courses are designed to boost your maths knowledge, skills and confidence so that you can take the first steps to improving your financial wellbeing. So, if you would like to develop some basic maths skills while you look at ways of better managing your finances this year, come and join one of our short courses in a venue in your local community.”
