A group of learners from Wolverhampton Adult Education Service are set to showcase their artistic side at a local gallery.

The exhibition is the culmination of the Creative Connections learners' work and will take place at Bilston Craft Gallery, Mount Pleasant, from tomorrow (Wednesday 22 May) to Saturday 22 June, 2013. There will be a private view on Wednesday (22 May) from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

On show will be pieces created by Suki Basi, Daryl White, Zarina Keyani and Clare Sherwen ranging from paintings to printmaking and jewellery.

Councillor Phil Page, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Schools, Skills and Learning, said: "The talent demonstrated by our Creative Connections learners is incredible and this exhibition will showcase some of their best work."

The Creative Connections programme gives newly graduated and established artists the chance to network with other artists and gain support and advice about career direction, particularly around becoming self-employed.

They can also showcase and profile their work, find out about funding and learn about the general business skills needed to work in the arts or as a self-employed artist.

For more information about the showcase or the Creative Connections programme, please contact Sian Fletcher or Moya Lloyd on 01902 558164 or e-mail enquiries@aes.wolverhampton.gov.uk.
