Residents are being asked to have their say on plans to improve the play area at Kingsclere Walk, Merry Hill.

The popular play space, off Warstones Drive, has not been significantly upgraded for a number of years, but funding is now available thanks to a planning agreement relating to the development of new homes nearby.

Councillor Steve Evans, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Environment and Climate Change, said: "The funds will enable us to carry out a partial refurbishment of this popular play area, so we are looking to replace those items of play equipment which are nearing the end of their usable life.

"Our proposed design is based on a blend of modern, attractive play equipment suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, and we also plan to install colourful safety surfacing under the new play equipment. We'd like people's views on these proposals so that we can ensure the play area is the best it can be, so please have your say."

People are invited to complete a short survey available at Consultation. The closing date for comments is 14 September, 2022.
