Local residents looking to get into jobs, training or enterprise are invited to a special workshop in Heath Town next week.

The Employment and Enterprise Event at Hope Community Project, Chervil Rise, takes place on Thursday 16 April, 2015, from 11am to 3.30pm.

Members of Wolverhampton City Council's Enterprising Communities Team will be on hand to help residents on the path into work.

Representatives from Hope Community Project, Better Off in Wolverhampton, YMCA, Talent Match Black Country and The Prince's Trust will also be offering advice and information about the services and support they can offer.

Hope Community Project Manager Sue Allen said: "We really want to help local residents get into jobs or training.

"This event will enable people to find out about the options available to them and look at ways that they can be supported into jobs.

"We also know that there are a few budding entrepreneurs in the area who with a little help can set themselves up in business or self employment, so I'd urge people to come along and see what's on offer."

Residents interested in a career in construction can also find out about the Fast Track into Construction programme, giving people the chance to learn the skills they need to get into the construction sector.
