Wolverhampton's 2 public paddling pools will be officially opened to the public this weekend ready for the summer season.

Work has been completed on schedule to enable the popular pools, at East Park and Tettenhall, to officially welcome bathers from tomorrow (Saturday), and they will remain open until the end of the school summer holidays.

A huge amount of work has taken place to get East Park Pool and Tettenhall Pool ready for use.

Officers from the City of Wolverhampton Council cleaned both pools and tested the pumping mechanisms, before filling them with the equivalent of 1.5 million pints of water. The water was then laboratory tested to ensure it is safe for bathers.
