Anyone who is not already on the electoral register but wants to have their say in the local and European elections on 22 May has just days left to sign up.

The vast majority of households in Wolverhampton - around 95% - are already on the electoral register, and the closing date to join is this coming Tuesday (6 May, 2014).

Anyone who is not on the register should visit Type=links;Linkid=2650;Title=About my vote;Target=_blank; to download a registration form, complete it and return it to Wolverhampton City Council's Civic Centre by midnight on Tuesday.

Voters will go to the polls on Thursday 22 May, 2014, with candidates standing in 20 seats on Wolverhampton City Council, as well as 7 seats in the European Parliament.

David Garner, Wolverhampton City Council's Electoral Services Manager, said: "It's not too late for anyone who isn't yet on the electoral register to make sure they are eligible to vote on 22 May - but they will have to hurry as we must have their registration form by Tuesday."

The deadline for people to either request a postal vote, or to make changes to existing postal voting arrangements, is 5pm on Wednesday (7 May) - please call the council's Electoral Services team on 01902 551177 to obtain a form, download a form from Type=links;Linkid=2650;Title=About my vote;Target=_blank; or visit the Civic Centre.

Please note that the Civic Centre is closed on Bank Holiday Monday (5 May).
