Wolverhampton Adult Education will be hosting an Open Day on Saturday 21 June from 10am to 2pm at its city centre base in Old Hall Street.

Residents in Wolverhampton looking to develop new skills or change their careers will be able to find out what courses are available to them.

They will also have the chance to take their first steps to a degree with a Higher Education Diploma and many other qualifications.

The service offers courses in Art and Crafts, English and Maths, Languages, Childcare and Teaching.

Additionally, visitors will have the chance to enrol on a selection of courses on the day.

There are also specific courses available designed to prepare people for employment, with a focus on writing CVs, interview skills and training.

Councillor Phil Page, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for Schools, Skills and Learning, said: "This is an ideal opportunity for people who are looking to develop new skills and enhance their career prospects to learn more about our excellent Service.

"Some courses lead to national qualifications from introductory to advanced levels, while others offer people the opportunity to try something new.

"Staff from Wolverhampton's Adult Education Service will be on hand to give advice and information so I would urge anyone interested to take advantage of this Open Day."
