A free fun day is taking place at the City of Wolverhampton Council run leisure centre on Sunday (21 August, 2016) with the swimming pool filled with toys and floats for families to enjoy.

The refurbishment of the changing rooms is part of the continuing transformation of the council's 3 WV Active leisure centres, which also includes improvements to the reception area at WV Active Central due to be finished shortly as well as the recently completed Spin Studio and Exercise Studio. The improvements have been supported by a £150,000 grant from Sport England.

Councillor Steve Evans, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Environment, said: "We are delighted with the new look changing facilities at WV Active Central, and we are sure our customers will be too.

"I would like to thank them for bearing with us while this essential improvement work was carried out, during which time temporary changing facilities were made available."

The fun day takes place from 8am to 4pm. Entry to the pool will be free and all are welcome.
