The Covid-19 vaccination centre at Aldersley Leisure Village has now temporarily closed to enable the venue to host the prestigious Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts, which gets underway this weekend.

The vaccination centre is due to reopen on Tuesday 23 November and, in the meantime, first, second and booster Covid-19 jabs will continue to be offered at a number of locations across Wolverhampton.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: "While Aldersley Leisure Village is unavailable, there are still plenty of other locations where people can get their life-saving Covid-19 jab, so do make sure you get yours as soon as it is due.

"I am also pleased that the vaccination programme will continue during the temporary closure of the site at Aldersley, with medical staff who would otherwise be working there instead taking the opportunity to deliver vaccinations in local care homes and to residents who are housebound."
