Dozens of local jobs and training opportunities will be on offer at a special event for Wolverhampton job seekers next week.

The Wolverhampton Skills and Employment Fair, which has been organised as part of Wolverhampton Visitor Week, will be held at the 4 Mercian Army Reserve Centre, Wolseley House, Fallings Park, on Tuesday 7 July, 2015, from 12pm to 6pm.

More than 25 exhibitors from across Wolverhampton will be on hand to showcase career opportunities available to city jobseekers. They include Thompson AVC, G4S, GTG Training, Angel Springs, Wolverhampton Homes, the Armed Forces and National Express.

There will also be support and training advice for job seekers and ex-Armed Forces personnel to help them secure employment and develop their careers.

Councillor John Reynolds, Wolverhampton City Council's Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "This event supports our ambitions to encourage enterprise, empower people and reinvigorate our city. We also want to increase prosperity among our residents, and there will be expert advice on offer for jobseekers at next week's event."

The Wolverhampton Skills and Employment Fair is open to all and booking is not required. It has been organised by the city council in partnership with Commander 11 Signal, the West Midlands Brigade and Wolverhampton's Armed Forces Covenant partners.

The Wolverhampton Skills and Employment Fair is just one of a range of events taking place during Visitor Week, an exciting programme of events taking place from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 12 July, 2015.

It's a great opportunity for anyone living, working, visiting or doing business in Wolverhampton to discover what the city has to offer. It is also part City Conference Season which helping to improve opportunities, prosperity and health for residents, support businesses to grow and develop and help local people to compete for jobs.
