Businesses and organisations in Wolverhampton are being invited to join a group to help them learn how to get a social media boost.

Wolverhampton Art Gallery, in Lichfield Street, hosts the Social Media Café, which is part of the Wolverhampton Portas Pilot, every month on a Wednesday between 5pm and 6pm with the next one being 15 May.

The aim of the sessions is for people who want to utilise Facebook and Twitter or start their own websites and blogs to get valuable tips and advice on how it could help their organisations.

These are informal meetings, over a cup of tea and piece of cake, which won't involve lectures. Instead mentors will talk to businesses one-to-one, answer questions and share their experience and expertise in using social media.

Organisers are also looking for more Social Media mentors to join the group and pass on their expertise and experience of using such platforms.

Anyone wishing to volunteer as a mentor or attend the meetings should visit the Wolverhampton Art Gallery's 'Eventbrite' page at Type=links;Linkid=1683;Title=Wolverhampton Social Media Cafe;Target=_blank;
