The Black Country branch of the MS Society is holding its latest Cake Break at Wolverhampton Civic Centre next month, and it is inviting people to bake some tasty treats to sell at the event.
Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Milkinder Jaspal said: "The Cake Break is one of the highlights of the MS Society's fundraising calendar and we're hoping this year's event will be one of the best yet.
"A wide selection of cakes will be on sale and all proceeds will go to the MS Society, which does fantastic work to support people with multiple sclerosis and their families in the Black Country."
He added: "To help us raise as much money as we possibly can, I'd like to encourage the people of Wolverhampton to get baking and create some delicious desserts which we can sell at the Cake Break.
"So if you can make a super scone, brilliant banana cake, classic chocolate sponge or terrific tarte tatin, please support this very worthwhile cause."
The Cake Break takes place on the Civic Centre concourse from 10.30am to 3pm on Thursday 12 September, 2013. Anyone who would like to bake a cake for the sale is asked to bring their creations to the Civic Centre by 10am on 12 September, 2013.
