There is still time for residents to take part in Wolverhampton’s biggest ever health and lifestyle survey.

By doing so, they will not only help shape future services in the city, but also provide a financial boost to a number of local organisations at the same time.

The City Lifestyle Survey, commissioned by the City of Wolverhampton Council, seeks to gather information about the lifestyle choices people make, and to enable the council and other organisations across the city make even more informed decisions about services that could improve the health of the local population.

Through the short survey, available at City Lifestyle Survey, residents can share their thoughts and experiences on a range of issues that might affect their lifestyle, including access to GPs, physical activity, alcohol consumption and vaccinations.

Their feedback will be used to plan services in Wolverhampton and help measure the effectiveness of these in the future. Reponses are anonymous, and the closing date for comments is Saturday 31 December, 2022.

Meanwhile, more than 2 dozen local community organisations have been asked to help promote the survey and support residents and service users to complete it. Each organisation will receive a flat rate of £300 for doing so, and everyone who takes the survey can choose which of these organisations they would like to receive an added financial incentive of £2 per completed survey.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: "This is a large scale survey that will provide us with reliable and valuable intelligence about the health and wellbeing of the people of Wolverhampton which, in turn, will give the council and other organisations across the city the information they need to make the right decisions for the local population.

"By taking a few minutes to complete the survey, you will not only be helping build up a clearer picture of the health and wellbeing of the people of Wolverhampton, but you will also help local organisations financially. At the end of your survey, you will be able to choose which local community organisation you would like to support with an additional reward which will be paid to them by the council.

“Each survey is worth £2, so local organisations stand to receive a significant bonus if enough people take part.”
