The Children's Nursery at Bantock House Museum is home to several traditional, much loved teddy bears and workshop participants will be able to take inspiration from the collection.

Marie Cooper, Learning and Community Engagement Officer, said: "Teddy bears make lovely presents for friends and family and this is a perfect workshop to make an extra special gift for Christmas. In this workshop, participants can learn all the basic techniques for making their own traditional jointed bears, which will be full of character."

To make a teddy bear, workshop participants will need to bring a 1metre square of fake fur fabric of their choice. All other materials are provided along with all the practical information needed to make a traditional jointed teddy bear.

The workshop is suitable for adults over 18 years old. Basic sewing skills are an advantage but beginners are very welcome. There is a workshop fee of £20 per person and places should be booked in advance.
