Kristian Green, who teaches Maths and PE at New Park School in Whitmore Reans, will turn out for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club when they take on Eastleigh FC of the National League in the Second Round tomorrow (Saturday 5 December).

Stourbridge FC have already seen off 2 National League clubs on their progress to the second round, beating local rivals Kidderminster Harriers before returning victorious from Dover in the First Round proper last month.

New Park Headteacher Fran Pass said: "We are delighted for Kristian. It's very exciting for the whole school and many of the teachers and pupils plan to be in the crowd on Saturday afternoon to cheer him on. They've also created a poster wishing him good luck.

"Kristian joined us at New Park 18 months ago and is really popular with everyone here so we'd love to see him help Stourbridge FC make it through to the Third Round. They've already shown they have what it takes to beat National League clubs and hopefully they can claim their third scalp on Saturday."

The Glassboys take on Eastleigh FC at the War Memorial Athletic Ground on Saturday. Kick off is at 3pm.
