The worldwide expert in water treatment will soon occupy the 11,000 square feet second floor of the £10.6 million city centre development, which was only completed in December.

Ovivo opted for i10 as opposed to a number of other options in Telford, Staffordshire and elsewhere in the Midlands, after deciding to relocate its UK headquarters from Wednesfield as part of expansion plans.

The company, which is part of a Canadian owned Water Treatment Company, currently employs 70 staff locally and has proposals to employ a further 20, with City of Wolverhampton Council assisting with the recruitment process.

Ian Yewer, Human Resources Director, Global Energy Group, said: "Ovivo was looking for a building which would suit both the long term growth plans and portray the right image for the company.

"The i10 building fulfils both of these needs and we are very pleased to be moving to Wolverhampton."

Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for City Economy, added: "Ovivo was looking for new UK accommodation that reflects the status of its global brand and we are delighted the company decided to choose i10.

"Not only does i10 offer the top grade office space they need - it also provides the scope for expansion as they grow as a business.

"This is great news for Wolverhampton as it keeps jobs in the city and will also see the creation of further jobs.

"We will be working closely with Ovivo to support them in recruiting and training their staff through our links with city partners."

i10 provides top grade office accommodation in the city and is a key component in Wolverhampton's £120 million Interchange.

City of Wolverhampton Council is in advanced negotiations with a number of businesses for the further 2 floors of office space, while Greene King, Superdrug and Kaspa's Desserts have already filled 4 of the 6 retail units on the ground floor.

As well as encouraging more investment and boosting prosperity in the city, i10 forms part of the gateway to the city for people arriving off the national rail network, by bus or Metro.

Wider development will include a new state of the art railway station and the Metro line extension, which will include a new stop at the station.

Work has started on the refurbishment and extension of the railway station car park and the new bus station is already in use.
