Children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families are enjoying an action packed half term courtesy of Wolverhampton's Yo! October programme.

Thanks to funding from the City of Wolverhampton Council, the Let Us Play charity is providing a range of activities for 5 to 19 year olds with SEND.

Assistant Charity Manager Claire McKen said: "Our play schemes are a great success, with sessions getting fully booked very early on. There's always a great atmosphere and a team effort with every single individual committed to the work and ethos of the charity and the children we support."

Councillor Beverley Momenabadi, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "It's brilliant that Yo! Wolves has been able to support Let Us Play again this holiday. The charity has pulled together such a wonderful programme of events and activities for children and young people with SEND and their families, which has formed a crucial part of the wider Yo! Wolves offer.”

As well as events for SEND families, the Yo! October half term programme is providing hundreds of other activities for youngsters and their families, ranging from sports and holiday clubs to fun days and arts and crafts. Councillor Momenabadi added: "There are still a few days left of the half term holidays so please check out the website for more details of what’s happening and where, and don’t forget that our Christmas holiday programme will be launched soon, too.”
