Voluntary groups working with children and young people in Wolverhampton are being encouraged to apply for funding to deliver activities, workshops and projects this Christmas.

The Yo! Wolves programme will be offering a range of opportunities to children and young people over the festive break, and voluntary organisations and community amateur sports clubs can apply for Department for Education HAF (Holiday and Food) funding to deliver activities, but must do so by midday on Wednesday 23 November, 2022.

The activities will form part of the Yo! Wolves Christmas offer to the city’s children and young people and be promoted on the website, Yo! Wolves

Councillor Beverley Momenabadi, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “It’s fantastic news that we are able to fund organisations across the city to continue to provide youngsters with a programme of Yo! activities during the Christmas school holidays.

“We have seen such positive results from our previous holiday programmes, and we want to ensure we keep this momentum going. I would encourage any voluntary organisation or community amateur sports clubs in Wolverhampton which provide services to our children and young people to consider applying.”
