Wolverhampton’s Covid-19 vaccine bus is back at Bilston Market this week, where anyone over the age of 18 can get their first or second dose of the vaccine, without needing to book ahead.

The bus has returned to Bilston Market just over 8 weeks after it was last there, so is the ideal timing for anyone who had their first dose when the bus last visited.

The bus will be at Bilston Market today (Thursday 16 September) between 1pm and 6pm and then from Friday 17 until Sunday 19 September 11am until 6pm. Pfizer vaccines are available today, with both Pfizer and AstraZeneca available on the other days.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “The bus is helping us to take vaccines out into parts of our community where they are needed most.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get their jabs, so by coming back just over 8 weeks after the last visit, we can make sure that everyone who had their first dose last time, can easy get their second dose, for the best protection from serious illness caused by Covid-19.

“Anyone over the age of 18 can come along and get either their first or their second dose of vaccine too.”

Although the vaccine bus is only open to people aged 18 and older, other walk-in vaccination clinics are open around the city for 16 and 17 year olds.
