They visited Trinity Church of England Primary School in July and have now published their report.
They found that the leadership team at Trinity had "maintained the good quality of education" in the school since its previous inspection in 2012, and described headteacher Matthew Welton as a "thoughtful leader who has high aspirations for pupils".
He, together with staff and governors, are "passionate about securing the best outcomes for pupils by helping teachers become successful practitioners" and have created "an inclusive school where pupils from different heritages play together well and treat each other with consideration". The pupils themselves are described as "confident individuals who embrace differing points of view".
Inspectors highlighted a "strong focus on staff development", which is ensuring that "children in early years achieve well and pupils make good progress by the end of Year 6", particularly in reading and maths. They added that the school is taking suitable steps to further raise attainment of the youngest Key Stage 1 pupils.
Mr Welton said: "This inspection report is a significant milestone in Trinity C E Primary's journey to be a truly outstanding school.
"With the completion of the building programme to expand Trinity to a three-form entry school and the first year of a new assessment system, each and every member of our dedicated team have ensured that the achievement of Trinity pupils is the best it can be.
"With our new facilities and a strong inspection report, our staff and governors are excited to realise the prospects the future holds in store.
"We all want Trinity to provide the highest quality of education possible for the wonderful pupils in New Park village and Heath Town and contribute towards the excellent quality of education that children receive in Wolverhampton."
