Following on from the success of the city wide Yo! Summer Festival, the City of Wolverhampton Council is delighted to announce plans for a series of Yo! events and activities during the October school holidays.

It promises to be a fun filled week for children, young people and their families across Wolverhampton, with everything from holiday clubs to sports, outdoor activities, craft days, family fun days, digital events and much more. There will also be a range of activities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The council is calling on local organisations to get involved and to submit details of their activities or events which they will be holding during half term so they can be included for free on the Yo! website, Yo! Wolves

Getting an event featured on the website is free and easy. Organisations simply need to visit Yo! Autumn Holiday Activities Form and submit details of their events which, if suitable, will be included on the website. Organisations are asked to make submissions as soon as possible.

Councillor Beverley Momenabadi, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “The Yo! Summer Festival was a great success for families and young people with thousands taking part in a range of fantastic events.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to provide opportunities for children and young people, we are thrilled to offer more events this October.

“The Yo! website will bring together the very best events and activities taking place in Wolverhampton for children and young people – both paid for and free of charge – and I urge local organisations to submit details of their events as soon as possible so that we can give our young people a fun filled and extensive programme to keep them active, entertained and educated this half term.”

In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, organisers are asked to ensure that their events and activities are held in a Covid secure manner.
