Invest in Wolverhampton.

This is the key message of the Business Week 'Developers Conference - Investing in the City' on Tuesday, 29 September.

The council expects to see a total of £192.5 million investment in the city centre over the next 12 months to stimulate economic growth and increase employment opportunities.

This conference will focus on some of the key partners who are helping deliver new developments to regenerate Wolverhampton.

The council will also present updates on major regeneration areas Westside and the Canalside Quarter.

Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "This is an opportunity for developers to hear first hand about the progress being made in bringing forward investment in Wolverhampton.

"They can find out about development opportunities and ways they can help influence strategy on regeneration in the city centre."

Speakers at the event include:

  • Tim Johnson - Strategic Director for Place at City of Wolverhampton Council
  • Henry Gun-Why - Director of Estates Facilities at the University of Wolverhampton
  • Liam Wordley - owner of the city's former Sunbeam Factory, which is undergoing a £10 million conversion into over 100 new homes. He will also present a market perspective of developing in the city
