Wolverhampton's WV Active leisure centres are holding a wide range of activities to keep young people occupied during the Easter holidays.

WV Active Aldersley is running its ever popular Kids Club between Monday 28 March and Saturday 9 April, offering multi sports, giant games, arts and crafts, fencing, archery and frisbee, roller skating, dodgeball, tag rugby, Futsal and Bikeability sessions.

Children aged 8 to 16 can also play badminton, tennis, table tennis or use the athletics track, while the all weather pitches are available to hire and the Youth Gym is open to 14 to 16 year olds throughout Easter from 10am to 2pm.

Meanwhile, WV Active Central and WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams are also hosting special holiday activities, with Central offering float sessions, snorkelling and taster swimming lessons and Bilston-Bert Williams running swimming lessons and family fun sessions in the pool, and indoor football sessions in the sports hall.

Councillor Steve Evans, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Environment, said: "Our leisure centres are offering a fantastic array of activities to keep young visitors active during the Easter holidays, whatever the weather."

WV Active Aldersley, on Hugh Porter Way, Aldersley, offers a fitness gym and exercise studio, athletics track, cycling velodrome, outdoor tennis and netball courts, sports pitches and indoor arena for badminton, tennis, indoor bowls, 5 a side football and more.

WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams, on Nettlefolds Way, Bilston, has an 8 lane 25m swimming pool, a studio pool, fitness gym and exercise studio, multi use sports hall, sauna and squash courts.

WV Active Central has an 8 lane 25m swimming pool, fitness gym and steam room.

As well as being great places to get fit and healthy, WV Active Aldersley and Central have branches of Costa Coffee, the UK's most popular coffee brand, while WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams is home to the popular Bert Williams Café.
