The Government's Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme, which has limited funding available, is proving very popular with over 100 businesses across the Black Country already benefiting from faster, better broadband.

The scheme offers small and medium sized businesses, charities, social enterprises and other not for profit organisations across the Black Country vouchers of up to £3,000.

Vouchers can be for an individual organisation, or if several organisations want to group together they can apply as a group, or through a landlord or agent.

Councillor John Reynolds, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "A super fast internet connection can make the world of difference to businesses, enabling them to grow and access new markets through better communication with customers and suppliers, increase productivity and improve customer service through faster upload and download speeds.

"In addition it can help organisations to increase security through fast secure back up of data.

"Upgrading to super fast broadband will also help to future proof businesses for the digital challenges of tomorrow, so I would urge businesses to get in quick."
