The Enjoy Wolverhampton 'Visit the City' summer programme has a host of exhibitions and talks to get your teeth into.

Bilston Craft Gallery on Mount Pleasant, Bilston, is offering free access to its Discover Dinosaurs Exhibition from Thursday 6 July to Saturday 8 July, and Thursday 13 July to Saturday 15 July.

The venue is open from noon to 4pm each day and visitors can look at fossil evidence, and explore some of the creatures that lived in the oceans at the same time as dinosaurs roamed the land.

The Wolves Museum, at Molineux Stadium, is holding an Open Day on Friday 7 July  with free entry on offer between 11am and 4pm. Booking is essential at Type=links;Linkid=8553;Title=Wolves Museum;Target=_blank;.

Wolverhampton Art Gallery has a wealth of free exhibitions to view all year round to enable visitors to explore their cultural side.

The gallery is open Monday to Saturday (10.30am to 4.30pm) and Sundays (11am to 4pm).

The Lichfield Street gallery is also the venue for Lunchtime Tuesday talks with expert curators on hand to tell you about its world-class collections and temporary exhibitions. The subject matter on 11 July is 'Postcards from Abroad'.

Councillor John Reynolds, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "The Discover Dinosaurs exhibition has already attracted hundreds of visitors and is just one example of the first-class exhibitions staged in the City of Wolverhampton.

"The summer Visit the City programme gives people the opportunity to take advantage of a host of free and purse friendly events.

"It is a great way to sample the best of the city's culture and visit places you might not normally think of visiting.

"We are really excited about this year's programme. It is a great initiative showcasing our great city."
