Families can go Wild in the Woods this summer thanks to a 5 week programme of events offered by the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

It is hosting activities and games at Peascroft Wood Nature Reserve in Bilston on Wednesdays 27 July and 3, 10, 17 and 24 August from 11am to 1pm. All ages and abilities are welcome, though children must be accompanied by an adult.

Peascroft Wood Nature Reserve is off Central Avenue, Bilston. Activities are free and there's no need to book, simply turn up on the day.

Reserve Officer Alison Wilkes said: "Families are invited to take part in a wide range of activities which are not only fun but will also help them learn more about wildlife and their local environment."

The event is supported by the City of Wolverhampton Council and funded through the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country's Heritage Lottery Fund project to improve the reserve for wildlife and local people.
